Oligo Design Map
Overview
Images produced by the Oligo Design program to illustrate the position of designed oligos relative to a gene's exons, as well as the expected product sizes.
Interpretation
The image is divided in multiple parts:
- Isoforms (transcripts) in red
- Primer pairs in grey
- Exons from the above transcripts in red. The number above the red bar indicates the length in nucleotides of the exon
- Each transcript shown separately with the primer pair or pairs capable of amplifying and the product. Note the number next to each primer pair shows the size of its product when it amplifies that transcript.
